We are also featuring Fiber Arts this year at IEC.   For embroidery, our show is geared toward the home machine embroider and/or quilter.     However a few attendees are in business for themselves.    It does not matter what your skill level is, there will be a lot of information for everyone.

IEC is an International Conference having had attendees from all across the USA and many different countries come together for out event.   Many return year after year for what has become a Reunion with old friends.   We welcome anyone, from anywhere with an interest in learning more about how to make your embroidery, digitizing, sewing, quilting or craft projects look more professional.   During your stay with us, you will experience days and evenings of FUN PACKED Education, Shopping, Trunk Shows, make lifetime friends, enjoy good food, door prizes, entertainment, and that's not all.

We will have something for everyone regardless of your skill level with some lectures, demos, make it and take it project classes plus several hands on classes for you to choose from.   It doesn't matter what brand of sewing machine or software you use for you to come learn with us at this educational, relaxing seminar and learn new techniques.   You do not need to be a digitizer, seamstress or a quilter but you might be one  when you leave us.  The classes at IEC are full informative type classes and not infomercials.   It is an ongoing learning process while you are there.   The instructors are available for help with questions throughout the entire Conference when they are not teaching.

Don't be afraid to come alone.   Many lifetime friendships have been developed because of coming to IEC.    We strive to make you feel like one of our family members during your stay with us from the time you first arrive until you leave.   You will meet others who have come alone to hang out with during the registration process on Tuesday afternoon.

Attending an Embroidery/Quilting Conference is very different from attending one of the Trade Shows.   Often expo classes at a Trade Show will give you the demonstration or a short explanation of how to complete a project but offer no detailed instructions unless you go to the instructor/vendor and purchase the additional needed materials.

Trade Show Expos have large machine companies behind them with the focus on selling.   IEC's focus is  targeted toward education with complete classroom instruction.    The classes range from one and a half hour to four hour sessions, depending on the individual class with complete instructions provided free to the student.   In a few cases at IEC, the teacher will list a small additional kit costs for hands on sewing classes only.   The lecture, demo classes and trunk shows are no additional cost.

You can attend a Trade Show expo and just tour the vendor floor.  When you attend IEC you get it all.   You can take classes all day every day and even in the evening.  You also have the opportunity of shopping in our Vendor Mall or simply relaxing with friends.
A Trade Show expo is a display of wares and how to use them.   IEC is a compilation of techniques and how to do them and many times with products you already own plus the vendor wares.

Our Charity Projects is:

Covers For Kids - Of Parents  In Service To Our Country
For the past 10 years, we have collected crib size or lap size blankets to present to our military families for their small children when their parent is deployed.   This year is no exception.   The Blanket Parade and presentation to the soldier will be Friday evening of our Conference.   This gives us a chance to show off our talent and our appreciation to these men and women who are serving our country while at the same time giving support to these families who give us so much.

Anyone who cannot attend IEC but would like to donate a blanket for our military kids can contact me for information to mail your blanket.   (email contact information found below).

You don't quilt??    No problem.  Blankets DO NOT need to be "hand made".   We accept purchased ones too.   Blankets from any fabric suitable for a small child  are welcome.   They do not have to be quilted or have embroidery on them.
Will you help us out by sending a few if you can't attend our Conference?

A military representative in uniform will be present to receive these Blankets and share with us some of his experience with our USA Military on Friday night for our Blanket Parade.
